Container transport

Many goods are transported in containers. This significantly reduces the time required for loading and unloading. The container can be filled and emptied independently of the vehicle that is used to transport it. A further advantage is that the container is specially equipped for transportation of a particular type of content, for example, for safety reasons or to protect the load.

Containers can be transported on road with container carriers - platform semitruck equiped with grips (holds) to fix containers during transport.

Container types:

FCL = full container load (container fully loaded)

LCL = less than container load (groupage cargo on the container)
